WRAPPING INSTRUCTIONS

Basic wrapping technique:

  1. Place the wrap in front of you with the Mico Wrap logo and the pocket facing forward and pull the ends backwards.
  2. One at a time, bring the two ends over the opposite shoulder.
  3. The Wrap is now crossed on your back with the ends over your shoulders. Make sure it is not twisting.
  4. Tuck both ends under the main piece with the logo and the pocket.
  5. Pull the ends tight and cross the wrap in front of your chest. Again make sure it is not twisting.
  6. Place the ends around your waist or hips.
  7. Tie with a double knot at your desired length.
  8. Ready to wear your baby.

Cradle hold: 0 – 6 months (as long as there is space for baby)

Make sure the wrap is tight on your body before placing your baby inside, baby needs to be tightly wrapped to your body.

  1. Fold the inner shoulder piece in front so you have a pocket for the baby.
  2. Place the baby in the pocket with the bottom first. Secure baby’s head in the pocket. The legs do not have to fit in.
  3. Spread out the other shoulder piece of material over baby’s entire body.
  4. Last, pull up the piece with the logo and the pocket on to secure it over the baby.

Classic Upright Hold:

  1. Hold your baby securely on one shoulder, slide baby’s foot and leg out under the strap closest to your body.
  2. Bring the baby to your other shoulder and do the same with baby’s other foot and leg.
  3. Spread out the material over baby’s body. Make sure the material is supporting all the way to the back of the knee. Baby’s tights should be horizontal or knees higher than the bottom.
  4. Pull the piece with the pocket up on baby’s legs, bottom and back. Baby’s legs can be out or stay covered if you and baby wish so.
  5. Done! The wrap must be tight enough so you don’t have to support the baby with your hands.
  6. When baby is sleeping you may use one of the shoulder straps to support the head.

IMPORTANT:

If baby is less than 3 months of age and you do not wish to separate baby’s legs, you may keep baby’s legs together in the fetal position by placing the bottom and both legs in the first strap with the second piece of material spread over the first before pulling up the last piece with the logo and the pocket on.

It is important that the knees are positioned higher than the bottom. When baby is sleeping, use one of the shoulder straps to support the head.
